The European Journal of Occupational Health Nursing (EJOHN) — the official journal of FOHNEU — invites submissions for publication. EJOHN is an open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing occupational health nursing practice and research across Europe and beyond.
EJOHN serves two core purposes: to support the professional development of occupational health nurses by sharing leading-edge research findings and evidence-based practice; and to disseminate knowledge that raises the profile of occupational health nursing among key stakeholders, including employees, employers, trade unions, and policymakers.
We warmly invite researchers, clinicians, educators, and occupational health professionals to submit their work for consideration. EJOHN welcomes contributions on all aspects of occupational and environmental health, including health surveillance, psychosocial risks, ergonomics, chemical and biological hazards, health promotion, occupational disease prevention, return to work, disability management, legislation, and more.
Types of manuscripts accepted
- Original research articles — studies relevant to occupational and environmental health (max. 4,000 words, ~40 references)
- Systematic reviews and meta-analyses — literature reviews on specific OSH questions (max. 5,000 words)
- Discussion papers — new research directions, approaches, or perspectives in occupational health
