FOHNEU Celebrates 33 Years of Advancing Occupational Health Nursing in Europe
On March 21st, 2026, the Federation of Occupational Health Nurses within the European Union (FOHNEU) proudly marks its 33rd anniversary since its foundation in 1993 in Windsor, United Kingdom.
FOHNEU was established by seven pioneering countries — Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom — with a clear mission: to represent the voice of Occupational Health Nursing within the EU and promote the Health, Safety, and Well-Being of the European workforce.
As a non-profit organisation, FOHNEU remains committed to collaboration and advocacy, funded entirely by donations from EU nursing organisations and sponsorship. Today, it continues to serve as a vital platform for all Occupational Health Nursing organisations across the European Union.
As FOHNEU celebrates this milestone, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Occupational Health Nurses and promoting workplace health across Europe.
Thank you to all our members and partners for being part of this journey!
